1 of 1 found this helpful I have owned a ton of headphones since 1985 ,when i bought my first Sony MDR-6-V2's. I have since owned many fine phones ,including Beyerdynamic DT -880. AKG 701. Sennheiser HD558, ATH M50; All fine phones . But the Sennhioeser HD 599 is slightly better;And I really liked them a tad better than the HD 650 as a matter of personal taste. They are a bargain , and many have found them to be only a nickels worth "under" the phones you can purchase at any exorbitant price. Very refined mid-range for classical listeners too.
