Thrall Gondola Illinois Terminal
Being from Illinois, I focus on midwestern lines. I especially like the Illinois Terminal cars like this. Lettering and detail are excellent, and the price is very moderate; great combination. I don't understand why the trucks and undercarriage are bright red, as a previous thrall boxcar I picked up was. But a quick spray with my airbrush took care of that problem. I highly recommend this addition to your HO layout if you're a midwestern modeler.

Good purchase for the price!
I think this airbrush, my first, is a really good purchase for the price and what you receive. Though I've used it a couple times before today, the airbrush got a HEAVY workout today as I was working on our new model club layout painting track. All was great for awhile, but eventually it clogged and I had a really difficult time figuring out what was wrong.
I'm rating this four stars because I'm not certain the clogging problem was the fault of the airbrush or me. I barely know what in the world I'm doing with the doggone thing, and other club members confessed today of similar problems with their airbrushes, even though they paid more for their units.
So, I think the airbrush will work great the vast majority of the time, and I highly recommend purchasing one. The only drawback is that there is a parts list included, but no explaination of how things work or what these pieces are.

HO modeling truck screws
