Avoid - not worth it even if it were free!
Horrible indeed, and not in a good way. I love old schlocky movies but these are the pits - dull, mysogonistic and using poor transfers. Picture quality ranges from just about OK (The Devil's Hand) to downright unacceptable (Stanley). Save your money - even a completist is better off without this twaddle. And Volume 1 is no better.

Great transfer but...
This edition, restored by UCLA, is superb. This old potboiler has never looked so good, but don't be fooled into thinking that the .other "restored classics" by The Film Detective will be as good - because they're NOT! They're no better than all those horrible Public Domain titles from Alpha and Mill Creek. Buy this one by all means but avoid the rest. I found out the hard way!

FREAKBEAT HEAVEN
Superb selection of tracks, beautifully presented to Decca's immaculate standards of pressing and production. This is a top release and sits alongside the other 'Scene' collections to provide a treasury of 60s alternative pop and rock. Highly recommended to all serious collectors.
