Uncle Fester
It is about personal freedom,..
The governments are all across the Western Hemisphere supressiong the idea of we- the people- getting to choose our own individuall lifestyles. There are an increasing amount of laws passed that interfere with the basic rights of the humans, some of them good most of them bad. Someone said that if You read the laws n regulations concerning the USA, the "Home of Freedom", and that You read it in a speed that d make "War and Peace" in a week, it still would take You 25 000 years to read those regulations and laws - and more are passed everyday! There are an increasing amount of resources if the Police State wants to keep its inhabitants under surveillance,.. CCTV, data base and internet surveillance (NSA) et cetera. And what is worse - there is an increased main stream of ideas without any laws or regulations actually being passed. A sort of mental police state that affects us even more. I am afraid of the idea of "Big Brother is watching us". Not that I am concerned every day, nor am I paranoid, but living in a socialist (Yes, Sweden is socialist, still) state means that the academic freedon of expression is in danger, any time, even though we are supposed to be nominally democratic. For instance; there was an event where random individuals were participating in medical research and were followed by demographic and medical studies, unbeknownst to them nor of their informed consent. Their Fault was that they were born a certain day a certain year, and as such had been registered in a programme without their knowledge, following them every year. Informed consent is a basic democratic principle, which obvioulsy is easy for an inclined government without too many scrouples to brake - contrary to public and international statements. Another thing that is annoying me is that the traffic police in this state has the possibility to take random urine, breath- or blood samples (the last only at the police station, though) Knowing that the governement once has broken its democratic principles, I am not sure that it will not continue to do so.
But if it only was Sweden,... no it is not. ANY GOVERNEMNT is likely to brake its own democratic principles. Principles are for amateurs, soft people without any say,... those suckers who believe in freedom,... but practically most governments will brake any rule if it suits them, be it due to economical or other reassoning
And thus I leave it to any readers to confirm or discredit this statement.
Unlce Fester wrote this pamphlete in the radical 70-ties. It is a shitty book, I admitt, I couldn´t possibly use it for any other thing than for academic purposes. The chemicals are restricted, (whó voted for this? Who elected those thus practicing a cencorship?), anyhow the development has taken sight on so called Modern Designer Drugs and become the evil the society accused the LSD people of. But still - the idea of a free way of living, an academic freedom where people can think for themselves was around in the seventies and is not completely dead yet. It is my belief that we have to live our lives and pass the society a better one. That can only be made in a state of liberty and openminded discussions.
We need to discuss this, and we need an society that is openminded not all condemning. The evil things about drugs are indoctrinated, but surely there must be some good things as well, but this is totally impossible to scientifically explore at the present time.
