Very Sturdy - Some fan noise
this is my second Sabrent enclosure. Both has a very nice and sturdy aluminum housing.
On this particular unit, they removed the ability to manually turn on/off the fan, instead it goes on as the hard drive spins up. There are some noise from the fan but barely noticeable.
disk throughput through eSATA is good, though have not done any formal speed/latency test on disk; when copying over files over 1gb ethernet with this enclosure attached to Windows host through eSATA, I see bottle neck is on the network with read/write speed of upwards of 700 megabyte/second, where as when enclosure is connected to host thoruhg USB, i'm getting max of 20-30 megabyte/second

very good oem battery. looks and feels like the original
on battery i'm getting about 2.5 hrs of run time.
