95% of the performance for 50% of the price
1 of 1 found this helpful It was a toss up whether I bought this or the lovely L series equivalent.
I chose this firstly because it is so much lighter and secondly, it's a lot cheaper.
I had a chance to try both lenses out side by side and I have no doubt that I got the right one.
This is light and easily held and the Image Stabilisation is superb. A half press on the shutter release button and the image in the viewfinder stays rock steady.
I will be taking this on safari and the ease of handling was a big factor in my choice. If I had the luxury of setting up a tripod for each shot I may have taken the L lens but instead I saved hundreds of pounds and got a lens more suited to the use I shall be putting it to.

Best electric screwdriver
I saw one of these with a chap doing some work on my camper van and immediately went home and ordered one. Having a selection of bits in a removable cartridge is an inspired idea. It is light enough and certainly packs a decent punch.
Included in the bits supplied is a small drill bit for pilot holes but the cartridge takes standard screwdriver bits so you can load it up with whatever you are likely to need. This may be star drives, Allen keys, Pozi drive bits or anything else.
Good illumination from the built in LED.
A good buy and already a favourite tool.

Incredible lens
2 of 2 found this helpful In my battery of lenses for my Canon DSLR this is the only one that is manufactured by a third party. I looked at all the online reviews and then sought the advice of a professional photographer who confirmed what I had read. This lens is as good (or possibly a little better) than the Canon equivalent for significantly less money.
The images it produces are razor sharp as soon as you shut down a little from the max f2.8.
A great lens for real estate photography with the ability to capture superb inside images but also a cracking landscape lens with its enormous depth of field.
