High quality camera you will not mind carrying around.
I have been using the camera for about two weeks. This camera is both easy to use and difficult. It can operate as a point and shoot. However if you want to make use of it many features, there is a steep learning curve. I like the view finder, especially on bright days. The only negative is that sometimes when I put the camera up to my face and tap the external screen, I change the focus point. There is probably a setting to turn off the touch screen focus, but I have to find it in the menu, which is not all that straight forward. There is an online manual, but the camera maybe obsolete by the time I get through the whole thing. The pictures look great. I already own the RX10 which has the same sensor size so the picture quality is about the same.
I like being able to slide the camera into my pocket and carry it everywhere. I have yet to try out the video. I mostly shoot photos. I bought this camera because I wanted a great camera that I would not mind carrying around no matter what. I love my SLR but there are plenty of times it is not practical to carry it around. Most of the time mobile phone cameras just do not cut it for me. It is just to limiting and the camera wears down the phone battery really quickly. The camera is well built, Of course, given the high price, it should be.
