Orange PPC112....the good and the bad
2 of 2 found this helpful I own two Orange PPC112's that I run an Orange CR120H through. I mostly jam at home with just one of the cabs, but sometimes am able to get out to jam with a 'mini-stack'.
The good:
The Orange PPC112 is one of the better 1x12" cabs out there. It's bigger than most and has a great speaker in the Celestion Vintage 30, a speaker design that I've been using since the '90's. The cab is really well built and looks cool with the orange tolex, basketweave cane grill cloth and black striping. t also sounds pretty good if you're just jamming at home or using it as a cab for simply recording.
The bad:
The Orange PPC112 is waaaaay overpriced for a Chinese made cab and speaker, even at used prices. A V30 speaker can be had for $90 new, yet these cabs go for $379 new. So you're essentially paying $275 for some plywood, orange tolex and a name. Not really a bargain compared to other brands, imo. Also, if you're only running one cab it can sound 'boxy' and lack low end. If you want PPC112s, I would definitely recommend running two of them together, or a 2x12/4x12.

Great GG-W-113 remake
1 of 1 found this helpful Great remake of the GG-W-113. There’s a few things that I think they should have done differently, but those are minor. It’s an awesome watch and the perfect size for me. 38mm is that sweet spot for my wrist.
