They are rubber feet. She went squeeee! It's a girl thing. I don't understand it. I really don't. But it made her happy.

Nice factory mats
Took a minute to arrive but they are good looking. They are more dark charcoal grey than black.

good value in used equipment
For used, the Kindle itself is very good, and the memory card was a nice plus. The case, however is a bit worn and could use replacing. Being a 1st generation, it has been difficult to locate one that is compatible with the machine. Otherwise, I am liking the ease of reading. My roomates newer generation Kindle has a much smaller screen and is more difficult to read.
