Fair value
One obvious disadvantage.
If your're heating a cup of coffee, say, at the end you want to turn the turntable with your hand to remove the cup with its handle - but you can;t do that on this microwave, the turntable can't be turned by hand.
An obvious design solution would be to engineer the machine to stop the turntable so that the handle points toward you when you open the door.
Childishly simple to implement.
