Quality, heavier leather rope
This is a smooth quality, skipping rope that can be adjusted to length and which feels great in your hands and I expect will last for years and years.
It is quite heavy (in the rope), the heaviest I have used out of say 10 ropes. It is not so heavy that you can't skip fast (I can do 2 cycles a second no problem) but is probably a bit heavy for some folk. I will complement it with a cheap plastic rope for days I feel lazy. This is great for a more physically challenging skipping workout. If you check out Web Med research the level of exertion, surprisingly maybe,does not increase by skipping faster so only a heavier rope or longer intervals will get you to an intense workout. A heavy rope gives the same workout with less bounces so less stress on calves and shins. It also gives your core a bwtter workout. Didn't notice it tiring my shoulders as the handles are not too heavy.
