Handcrafted Elegance with state of the art technology and materials
This watch follows a trend in Casio's MR-G line to utilize Japanese artisans to produce hand crafted specialty metalwork and in this Oceanus Manta's case fine Mackie lacquer work on the face and bezel. The "Running Water" effect is spectacular and is done by hand and make every watch unique. The Manta logo and second hand are plated with a metallic blue tint. The minute and hour hand are plated in such a way that they reflect color in the right light, mostly greens and blues in my watch's case. The Band and case are made of titanium, which makes the watch incredibly light. When you remove it from the case for the first time, it was a surprise to feel how light it is. Titanium is a mythical metal in it's usage in this watch, light to the point of being toy-like, but you can feel how strong it is. Also the titanium alloy used in this watch has a magical greyish tone which totally differentiates it from stainless steel. It is a pleasure to look at from any angle. The case is 9.5mm thick which makes this a perfect watch for any dress-up occasion, but it is tough enough for daily use.
The bracelet clasp also has a quick size adjust if you need the band to be a bit tighter or looser. The watch uses The Casio Oceanus Connected smart phone app to adjust and monitor watch functions. It uses Bluetooth to accomplish this. The watch also can make autonomous time adjustments using word wide atomic clock signals. The watch has Casio Tough Solar Technology which makes replacing batteries unnecessary.
There is only one complaint I have. I wish the bracelet used screws to hold the links together, the watch utilizes friction pins in conjunction with tightening barrels. I have never had a problem with the pins working loose on any of the Casio's that have this, but at this price point I feel screws seem more luxurious. But I do trust Casio's engineering and like I said before I have never had an issue with a pin working loose. This is definitely an elegant watch and is right at home at a grand event, or a sporting event.

Great model High detail
Wonderful model a bit hard to convert to DCC but totally worth it.
