a good upgrade
For anyone that has an HEQ5 mount I recommend it. I needed to raise the OTA and this worked a treat. It is a simple installation and when installed it makes levelling the mount a very simple task. When not needed, just remove it. All you need is one suitable allen key which was not supplied with mine and its job done. Note: The fitting is interesting in that the North leg of the tripod can end up being misaligned, before installing, simply mark the tripod and mount head, install the extension, line up the two marks and its sorted.
