Silk and Cotton: Textiles from the Central Asia that Was

Deeper than the cover- a whole new expereince!

I have deep love for Asian textiles. This book is stunning and the images are very well laid out into categories. This is thrilling for me so I can study each grouping. This book takes you into the garments through the narratives and the photos. I have studies Chinese and Japanese textiles for over thirty years and I am delighted to find this book that will enhance and challenge me with more! My favorite is the children's section. As a textile artist, I find each stitch to be memorizing! The last chapter is "The Album" with quotes that will take you right into the area- I can almost feel and smell the dust in the air. Highly recommended- brilliantly done Susan Meller
