Superior reproduction of the Empi Imp badge. Finishing touch to your original or restored Empi Imp Dune Buggy. The quality far exceeded my expectations. Communication was excellent, pricing was reasonable, and the opportunity to meet up with Rick was priceless. A+++

Dorman 13736 Remote Lock Control Or Fob
    17 Oct, 2018
Great value! And it works on cars it wasn't supposed to work with!
I was told by a number of people that to program a key fob that was lost for my 2010 Chevrolet HHR would entail taking it to a dealer and having the computer reprogrammed at a several hundred dollar cost. For $65 I thought to take the chance on this Dorman model... and it worked! It even programmed the "official" GM licensed key for the rest of the doors (also bought here on eBay).
    S&W M&P Shield 9mm & .40 Ruger LC9 Beavertail Grip Sleeve Hogue 18400

    Good for small hands
I bought this for my 9mm Shield as, while practicing, my hands tend to get sweaty and I thought a rubber grip would help. And this does help, but the finger "bump" is entirely in the wrong place for me - it made the grip very uncomfortable. A little Dremel sanding work and the bump is now gone and the grip far more comfortable. Have yet to get back to the range to try it out though.

For the money, could have been so much more. And should be.
I bought this almost strictly for the nav unit integration. I have a portable TomTom and thought this would be a nice unit to have in my work vehicle - saves from having cords dangling all over the place. I'll start with the nav first: TomTom's great route planning and relative ease of use. It's fairly user friendly through the menu if you've used a TomTom before. The big drawback - this unit does not come with lifetime map updates and does not support the LIVE updates as the smaller, cheaper units do. That's a poor, inexcusable move for a unit this expensive. Otherwise, it works well. Some reviews state the navi system will suddenly shut down or not be able to find the satellite signals... I have not had that experience...yet. The head unit: Not what I expected from Sony. The visual impact is great; photo streams and video playback are awesome for what it is. What really is poor is the menu layout and intuitive nature of the menus. More often than not you'll be taking your eyes off the road to change a channel or fine tune what you're listening to. The touch screen is not "tunable" to the pressure of your touch. Sometimes you'll hit a button, the screen will change color, but nothing will happen, forcing you to touch the button again. That usually happens when you move faster than the unit can react, but still an annoying item. The sound is ok at best. Certainly better than a factory unit when paired with upgraded speakers, but the lower bass levels are sorely lacking. The customization of the equalizer helps some, but not enough. There are enough plug and play access points out the rear of the unit to make any audio or videophile happy. The problem is that there is so many - all those wires have to go somewhere, and it's a tough, tight fit in the dashboard (at least in my Chevy truck). I strongly recommend a purchase of Crutchfields' installation guide and install kit - it will give you all the necessary components to make the unit work with the rest of the vehicles' electronics. The Bluetooth integration: I've never had a hands-free item before, and with more states and municipalities enforcing hands-free, this was a nice touch. I didn't even realize the unit was equipped to go hands-free (truthfully, I probably read it in the literature, but it never registered), and I've been using it ever since. It works great, even though the menu navigation is a little aggravating. If your phone is equipped with a voice dial command - use it. The XNV will pick up on those commands as well, making it a true hands free unit.
