A true, gripping adventure story with an adorable hero.
I read this book in two days, it’s brilliant! The true story covers a variety of topics including the thoughts and feelings of an ultra runner and his difficult childhood. The star is, of course, the indomitable Gobi who joined the author on his run across the Gobi desert, and whose adventures and difficulties after the race keep you turning the pages. Read it!

Great enterainment with a solid grounding in 19th and 20th century history.
This film was originally a TV series in the 70s. I loved it then and I love it now. It fills 4 DVDs but it is hard not to sit and watch it all in one go. Excellent acting from a star-studded cast has not dated at all in all these years. Annette Crosby is magnificent as Queen Victoria whom we see meeting Prince Albert (Robert Hardy), ascending to the throne, having a large family and mourning the death of Albert. She blames her son, the Prince of Wales, played by Timothy West and won't let him participate in matters of state. He rebels by leading a playboy life. When he finally becomes King he is known as the 'Peacemaker of Europe', keeping the peace amongst his many relations in the European royal families including Tzar Alexander of Russia and Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany.

Good product
1 of 1 found this helpful I mix this into the compost before I plant up my summer pots with annuals. They grow well all summer without the chore of adding feed every time I water. A great time saver.
