Dalek, I love you too
1 of 1 found this helpful The follow up to Dalek I Love you's Must have Album "Compass Kumpass". Their second album is much more poppy affair with a slight lean towards the Thomson Twins in places. My preference is for the starker, simpler tunes of the First album, but thats hot to say that this isn't a worthwhile addition to your collection of 80's Liverpool bands.
The stand out tracks for me are "Astronauts (Have Landed On The Moon)" because of the breathy vocals that were sucha trademark of the band and "Dad On Fire" beacuse its so daft.
The Expanded edition is excellent value has the benefit of 6 extra tracks including some previously unreleaseed, a remix of "12 hours of Blues" and an instrumental of "Horrorscope" so you can do the karaoke bit.
final point of note is the fantastic artwork. This is one of my favourite album covers of all time and is lovingly produced on the CD, though it does suffer from being shrunken down from its 12inch glory.
Buy it now and relive Erics in the 80's.
