Great value hub motor and controller kit to get started with electric personal transport
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my second hub motor of this type, my first was purchased 3 years ago and has served me well, it had seen over 3000 miles.
So lets start with the
Cons:
The torque tabbed ring that is supplied is only just good enough for light use and will give up the ghost if you decide to over-volt or shunt mod your controller, but if you are serious about your e-bike you should invest a few £ in a set of torque arms and then you are set.
The voltage readout is of the red/amber/green type and it not super helpful, it works just fine but it's hard to tell where you are at charge wise without a voltage to read, I got a cheap throttle grip with 7 segment display and fitted that and it's been super reliable.
Pros:
Solid controller, I shunt modded mine to 50amps at 60 volts (gives me a solid 35mph when needed) and as long as you don't go crazy running it flat out all the time it performs just fine, you can get cheap replacement controllers all over the place and if you get a little confused with the wiring you can pop on over to endlesssphere where an entire community of enthusiast will help you out.
Solid motor, the motor is absolutely fine for e-bike needs and provides plenty of power and speeds of 25-30mph (depending on battery) even for the basic setup.
The bearings are still going strong on my motor, if they ever do need replacing it's not a difficult job for anyone with basic tools and an online guide.
In summery, for the price this is a fantastic way to get started with a super cheap and reliable e-bike, a few upgrades and you have something that will serve you well for a long time. I would say this kind of kit is best installed by someone with basic mechanical skills and a basic understanding of electrical systems, but it is not super hard or complicated.

Super simple USB Type C from any laptop
Super simple to use, just plug it in and you have a USB type C port!
Used mine for charging apple stuff from a laptop without USB C.

Fast, workhorse industrial label printer, must have for medium to large label volumes.
Workhorse label printer that will outlast us all, still going strong a decade after manufacture, fiddly setup but worth the effort.
