I have COPD and my year old grandson has asthma and this nebulizer is totally silent so thought it would be great for our little guy who refused the prescribed loud one. It was somewhat tedious to put together even with the instructions and the batteries that were included were dead, but no telling how old they were so that is understandable. However, after only a few uses it would start ad then stop, so after cleaning twice I decided to check the batteries. Evidently, this little jewel can only be inhaled but not exhaled into it as a regular nebulizer because in less than a week, the batteries were corroded. I would give five stars except for the problems I have had. I will use it myself because I can control the usage., otherwise it is a great little machine.
