My own fault!!
This is the second one that I have bought. I think the first one didn't work because the DC voltage from my train controller was higher than 12 volts. In the video which anyone buying this should watch it is stated that you must check out the voltage of the power source as ANYTHING above 12 volts will burn the unit out IMMEDIATELY!! Haven't tried this one out yet as have been doing other things. Seems good quality though.

Filter does it's job
The filter is fine - I always buy this one - I would like to know how to recycle them though?
