Vintage Door Knocker Solid Brass Architectural Salvage

Took a chance, found a treasure.

Buying an item like this is a matter of taste and what work I was willing to put into it. I saw a unique item. After removing the black paint which was easy. The material the knocker was make of was not quality and gave a swirling patina. I loved it's beauty. I shined up a spot on the knocker. Put my initials on it and enameled for preservation. It is now on my front door.

A little expensive but worth it.

Vinyl door through and through. Heavy. Nicely made. Can't plane it like you can wood, have to use a saw. I used a 1/2" x 1/2" welded wire on the back for extra security. Doesn't interfere with the appearance. This door really changes the curb apeal of the house. Draw back is not to paint it. I'm glad I don't have to.

It works best!

I've used Seresto before on my 2 dogs. Very effective against the ticks we have here in UpState NY. I do see ticks after walks but they tend to disintegrate. Also, dogs have very little to no irritation from collar. This collar can be used in combo with Frontline Plus if ticks are a horror as they can get here sometimes. You can't do that with a lot of flea and tick preventatives. It would be too toxic for the animal.
