Well written and illustrated for the general reader.
Well illustrated and written, Gates tells the story of the troubled design and procurement of arguably the world's most advanced class of nuclear submarine. A cautionary tale for those with responsibility today for planning Astute's successor. The general reader with no previous knowledge of the design, building and operation of nuclear submarines will gain some useful insights on the topic as well as a reasonably detailed account of the history of the Astute class design evolution from the mid 1980s to the 2000s including how the UK defence industry and MoD struggled to maintain control over one of the most complex engineering projects in UK history.

Does the job
I was expecting white as illustrated but it came black. This means it's OK a good insulator against frost but has to be taken off each morning to let the sun in.

Quality mixing bowl
It's a quality mixing bowl with a nice pattern on the outside. Seems to work but I haven't tried seeing if it really is chip resistant as that would require me to damage it so I'll have to take the manufacturer's word for it.
