Tried and true
After the first 60 minutes, orange phase moves quickly. For 90 minutes with the included 35v developer there was virtually no damage. Add 1 dropper of rose oil or oil of choice. This stuff is good :)

Minimal results
Attempting to remove black with 10 volume developer from my hair: I pre-washed with neutragena shampoo, followed directions to the letter including at least 1/2 hour of rinsing and achieved minimal lift. Wouldn’t recommend.
