good mobo for audio recording
Good product. Got it working with my 5950x with relative ease. This is revision 1.1. Gigabyte software is nice for controlling fan speeds / processor overclocking. Getting XMP working with ram through bios was simple and I've now got 64GB crucial balistic running at 3600. I plan to add 64GB more soon. Machine is nice and stable running windows 10. Using for ableton and I haven't experienced a single glitch during recording or playback even in moderate sized projects. Using RME UFX+ and I've been able to run 32 sample buffers in many cases without issues. DPC latency hasn't a problem at all. Doubt it matters but I'm running 2 Samsung 980 Pro NVME drives. Everything is just super fast and nice. I do wish the board had more PCIE / M.2 capabilities, but really that issue is primarily with the chipset.
My philosophy was why bother with an expensive board that gives you limited amounts of slightly improved features (570x). Instead of sweating idiosyncrasies, if I want to jump to a more capable production machine, I would just jump up to Threadripper or some Intel platform. So far, this seems to have worked out because this machine as a purpose built audio recording box has been rock solid and has all the capabilities I currently want.

Great competitor to md421
Great microphone. Has a little bit of hype to it, so it shouldn't be considered perfectly flat or perfectly smooth. However, I like it a lot on toms / kick and I think it is solidly designed. I am a fan of md421 as well. This mic competes within the same domain as the 421, which is saying a lot.
On toms, it is slightly smoother than the 421... which is better is purely a matter of taste. I'm glad to have both in my toolbox.

good but not oem
These are cheap and work well. However, i dont believe they are oem. The material on the outside is softer than the original. Also the conductor cables are a different material than the original and I cut one of the plugs open. It was definitely different than the one I cut open directly from apple. They still work fine though.
