Why the hate?!

I will never understand the hate this model received. The last 'proper' flagship Google produced, fast, responsive, great camera, innovative, industrial design, everything a Pixel should be. All the reviews at launch panned the battery life, the lowest I have run it down to in a day so far is 34%. Is it a two day phone? no, do I need it to be? also no. Wireless charging is never far away these days anyway. I've even found myself using the Motion Sense! My only minor gripe is that I miss the finger print sensor, face unlock is fine, but nothing beats the convenience of a well placed (on the rear) finger print reader.
