Well-Made but too inaccurate

First of all, I will say that this tool seems very well-made and is heavy - suggesting quality materials. The instructions are fairly easy to follow too, providing you have a reasonable grasp of 'Engrish'. The main problem I had with this tool is that it is not very accurate. as you move the tool around to cut the glass, it tends to travel up and down, creating a spiral cut instead of a circular one. I experimented for ages with all the jars and bottles I had saved which took a whole afternoon and I ended up with just one that was serviceable. It took me hours to sand down properly given the uneven cut. After failing to produce anything remotely saleable - which is why I bought it - I bought a flatbed version where you lay the bottle on rollers. It has a guard to keep the bottle in place and work MUCH better.

Best 12 Quid I Ever Spent

This simplistic device has made a huge difference to my beleaguered awning, which has spent the last few weeks flapping about and annoying the hell out of me. Now, my awning is drumskin-tight and looks just as it did on the promotional pictures.

Bargain

I bought this orginall because a) it was a blaupunkt, b) it was reconditioned and had a 3 month garauntee and c) it was very cheap. It's fantastic, very settable and not annoyingly gobby. The only faullt is that it is always just a little behind your position on the map. Bargain.
