A real performance boosting upgrade for hp dc7600 desktop pc

My hewlett packard dc7600 is a small form factor desktop pc that comes with a single core intel pentium HT. This stutters with streaming video and as good as freezes when too much is asked of it. BUT, once I fitted this intel pentium D cpu, my hp dc7600 was utterly transformed for the better. All video streaming is smooth and stutter free e.g. live streaming football at hd quality This is especially remarkable as I do not have a dedicated graphics card, perhaps I no longer need to buy one! Multi tasking especially in Win Xp is responsive, quick and no longer freezes. The WEI (Windows Experience Index) has risen by 1.5 points! This is the maximum possible cpu upgrade for an hp dc7600 and the only negative effect is that the intelligent cooling circuit switches the fan on more often but this is a minor problem quickly forgotten. Fitting is, of course, a doddle as this pc is designed for rapid access and easy maintenance. In summary to spend £5 on this cpu has been one of my best ever purchases because it has made a considerable if not dramatic improvement in performance. And as it supports 64 bit processing it sets the stage for the next upgrade to max out the memory to 4gb. I strongly recommend this cpu as the best possible upgrade for an hp dc7600.
