Timelss Gem
Ok, the film/video quality may not be good, but what a fabulous piece of 70's tv. So much nostalgia for a time when you didn't need a helmet for horses or motorbikes! Wonderful horsey stories mixed in with the morals of the age and some outspoken social commentary too, plus lots of teenage hormones and eye candy. What a heady mix. My six year old loves it, and even my 20 year old son spotted "isn't that Q from James Bond?" (yes) plus I'm more than happy to watch along and remember my youth too. Highly recommended if you or your children love horses!!

Engrossing - like travelling in time!!
1 of 1 found this helpful Loved this book - the story is compelling, the writing full of description and vocabulary from another era, some words from the 14th Century which I have had to look up, as well as the use and style of language from the 1950's when the book was written. Romantic, but not Mills and Boone style, quite edgy in fact considering when it was written. I've got two friends lining up to borrow it as soon as I'm finished. One of those books you mourn the end of when you finish.
