Yes, so it's bulky BUT... look at the features
This is an old design of phone by modern, iPhone, standards. But it is feature rich and highly functional as well as robust. The internal GPS, along with the capability to accept even my largest microSD card at 16Gb, means I can have all my music and sat nav in one place for well under £100

Perfectly adequate for a DIY job. The blade is a bit crude and doesn't make a perfect cut, but good enough

Sony MEX-BT2700 USB/CD/MP3 In Dash Receiver - Wow!!!!!!
1 of 1 found this helpful This appears to allow any bluetooth phone, and whatever features that phone has, to play straight through the car audio system.
In my case, I have a HTC Diamond. I can now have music from the phone's memory PLUS Sat Nav on in the background PLUS answer any calls [LEGALLY]. For the price of the unit I think that is astounding.
The unit was very easy to fit in the car because of the ISO connectors. [Except for the fact that the previous owner had misconnected the yellow and red power leads and therefore all memories were lost every time the ignition was switched off! A bit annoying but easy enough to chase down even with my limited DIY experience]
The display is nice and clear. The output to the speakers [via the aformentioned ISO connectors] is crisp and clear - excellent. There is only noticeable distortion at ver high volume. The sound to the sub woofer can be controlled from the head unit [NICE!]
The phone appears to be a little on the quiet side on the microphone - people I've called have said it was a little difficult to hear me, though that may be beasue I had the volume down. I'm not sure whether the microphone sensitivity is controlled by the volume control. Perhaps I should read more of the manual!
The manual was easy enough to find on the web, though most features are largley intuitive. I did need to consult it for the initial bluetooth pairing of the unit and the phone. This brings me to the ONE complaint I would make - Why, oh why oh why do manufacturers not set things so that if I leave bluetooth switched on on my phone it will AUTOMATICALLY reconnect to the phone when the ingnition is switched on again and the phone is back in range of the heasdset? I've had cheap bluetooth speakers that have managed to perform this simple task, so why doesn't this one do it? It means I have to reconnect the phone via b/t each time there is a break in my journey and the ignition is cut. It amounts to an irritaion rather than a complaint about it. It is the only reason I have given "Good". If this one thing were resolved I would not hesitate to rate it as "excellent" but at the price it is still brilliant value for money
