Farm boy musings
The photos are good. They show many JDs that have done farmers in the US and abroad in the 20th century and beyond a great service. The types that were come out with to serve different applications were very interesting. I will have many times perusing and reminiscing about tractors that I have used growing up on the farm. It is a wonderfully presented book.

Spare battery in the middle of nowhere
This came in time for me to use it two days after receiving. I have a vehicle with a V6 3.2L. Hooked it up to 10.2 vdc, started immediately.
It states a limit on gas engines of 5.0 in size. The built in light is adequate ( lasts up to 45 hrs ), but the switch for it is not located in a good spot, it will go to flashing with a touch when not needed. Then you have to hold to shut that off, then cycle it back on. You can have the light on when hooking it up, convenient. Just follow the instructions. Don't use light too much to bring it below 50% (2 bars) or you can't use for jumping vehicle! Comes with adaptors to charge phones, etc.

I have the solar connectors
1 of 1 found this helpful Checking in Tucson, no one had connectors. They wanted to come install something that already was, that I just needed to plug in. No hardware, electrical supply or even solar power stores had the MC4 W/O coming to ranch. Got the cords hooked up in 30 min, I had power again!
Hey it was as easy as plugging a cord into an outlet. The MC4 Connectors plugged easily into the solar panels male &/female connectors, stripped the insulation of and hooked them to the CHG controller. No problems. The quality was good. It was a simple problem that no one wanted to help unless I paid a crew to come and plug the cord in.
