Easy to use with great features
The Sewist 500 is great machine and easy to use. It is a good machine for a beginner or a seasoned sewer. I have a computerized machine but wanted a mechanical one for simple sewing tasks. This machine is perfect. It has just enough features and options to complete most sewing projects. I love the drop in bobbin which are sometimes not on the mechanical machines. It is slightly lighter than some of the more expensive Janome machines but is still very sturdy. It does not vibrate or move when sewing like some of the lighter weight machines. My granddaugher who is nine and learning to sew fully understands how to operate this machine. I am very pleased with my purchase of this machine and would recommend it.
