No go with Windows 10, so far!!
I was rather excited to receive this super spec laptop, Dell Precision M6600 with Windows 7 Pro, albeit second hand. Quad Core I7. 16Gb, 2 hard disks, 128 Gb SSD and 750 Gb Sata disks. VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 2&3 and other ports. I connected it up on my work in-hand desk, with RJ45, cable free mouse and key-board. I was pleased of my investment. So I installed Windows 10, which is simple if not long winded. THEN my troubles started, starting with ME is in recovery state On advice I continued and transferred all my data, installed Office 2016 and other bits and pieces. More and more problems but to cut a long story short Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected. The HDMI and DisplayPort ports do not work, my scanner, Perfection 3170 photo will not scan. The VGA port does work, fortunately and my little Canon printer, USB, also works. A pig in a poke!!! For the time being yes but I am continuing investigating what can be done.

Worth the investment, time will tell
It arrived in a largish box so I was taken aback that it was so small, I'm iPod illiterate. So I spent quite a lot of time trying to understand how to charge it, load it with music and listen. I've only listened to music so far. Seems the the iPod Nano is different from other iPods, requires some understanding so the others functions may have to wait awhile. The music sound is very much to my liking especially the stereo, when appropriate. Not sure I like the things in my ears; I'll have to persevere. My hearing is no longer as it was way back then so whether sound quality is good I can't comment. Battery life - don't know. Easy to use - different, I'm a PC man trying to catch up with the grand-children, I'm doing my best. I have a feeling though that an iPod is yesterday's gadget.

This is a must read for everybody, old and young especially the young.
This is a must read for everybody, old and young especially the young. It is a record of many things:- life between the wars; the effects of the Russian focus by the British war time government; the conceit and bombast of the British colonials and officer classes; the unpreparedness and incompetence of the British military (once again); a terrifying exposé of man’s inhumanity to man; the complete abandonment of Far East POW by the Attlee Government and trauma and relived hell of ever re-occurring nightmares. A very easy to read book that raises the emotions up and down, side to side and tumbles them around. It is one of those books difficult to put it down and then sometimes picked up again with apprehension. Shame about the title; it was more than about a highlander.
