Bentley Boys
Very good read if you are interested in the perils of 1930s motor racing and the ‘Bentley Boys’.
I live near the Brooklands Racing Circuit, and was always intrigued by the Bentley that crashed in 1932 killing Clive Dunfee on this banked circuit.
The cars were big and heavy, skinny tyres compared to today, heavy steering and poor brakes yet these brave men were lapping the circuit at over 100mph.
Great book, with loads of photos, good insight into the Bentley Boys plus the history of the Bentley car that crashed. I love the history of London built Bentleys, always a good read of these beautiful cars.
