    SAPPHIRE NITRO AMD Radeon R9 380 Video Card 4 GB | 299-4E308-100SA

    Almost no Linux support
It barely works with Linux as a display adapter. The UEFI/BIOs switch on the board is not going to save this GPU. I tried Manjaro Linux (KDE 24.1.1), Mint (22-Cinnamon), Ubuntu MATE (24.10 AMD64) and TAILS OS. In short: (Arch) Manjaro : Not compatible (Ubuntu/Debian) Mint: Compatibility Mode with Bootable thumb drive only (BIOs) Ubuntu MATE: Compatibility Mode with Bootable thumb drive only (BIOs) (Debian) TAILS OS: Bootable thumb drive, works normally (BIOs) My PC is a 15 year MSI MSI 890FXA-GD70 (BIOS V1.4) with a AM3 1090T. When I switched the video card BIOs settings to UEFI it does not POST with my old PC. No signal, HEX Error 37. "Post-Memory System Agent initialization is started". If you have a older Windows PC or feel like editing the GRUB bootloader in Linux to boot only in "Compatibility Mode" it might work. I could not get it to function past booting a live Linux image from a thumb drive.

    Revived old PC
This fully functional used GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2GB is a upgraded version of my prior GPU. When I booted up WIndows XP it auto-detected the hardware and updated the drivers, despite having no Internet access. It will allow me to keep using the old PC's installed legacy photo editing software for processing CR2 RAW files natively.
