downing successful fiction style to non-fiction
Excellent approach as the day by day account brings reality to history. You can imagine reading the newspapers as it happened.
A classic thet shoud go alongside the books on the 12 days prior to the 1st World War

Away from Shardlake the story is still a spellbinder
Bought it as it was by Sansom but I was worried as it is not a mediaeval story. I need not have been worried as Sansom's style is good for 20th century stories. A little disappointed by the lack of story complexity but still a book you are itching to finish
