Everything as expected.

Lodge pan - can get in USA for about USD$40. That’s about AUD$60. Add postage and the fact I didn’t have to go out and shop, it’s not such a bad deal at $89. It came as expected, a day after it was meant to but we had a public holiday so that’s forgiven. Cast iron these days don’t come smooth so I will have to get something to polish the surface and then reseason it (lots of good videos on YouTube about how to do this). I’ve ordered a silicone handle set from somewhere which should help when it arrives. The pan itself is not well balanced with such a short handle but it seems to be a sacrifice to get it to fit into ovens better...perhaps? The helper handle is helpful though. I’m looking forward to cooking lots of nice steak, bacon and omelettes on this bad boy! Cheers
