Nailed it.
Got the Brit power supply by accident for a TV box and Banggood was no help. Tried variable power supplies but no match.
This nailed it exactly.

A mixed blessing

That's great if you surf the internet on the Samsung TV, but not what I bought it for.
I was hoping for a keyboard that would substitute for the tedious business of searching a title using the alpha-numeric grid on the screen for movie services like Netflix and so on.
It does not work on these black and white grids, navigated with the circular directional disc on your remote.
So it doesn't do exactly what I wanted, it's a bit more expensive than ordinary remote keyboards, but it seems to be the only thing that works at all with Samsung TVs.
A decidedly mixed blessing.
