Excellent model of a period Triebwagen
An excellent model of this mid-1980s Triebwagen, the Bemo range features all-wheel drive, all-wheel pick-up, and the three directional headlights of the traditional Swiss fashion. Bernina stock is H0 scale [1:87th] and can manage radii as tight as 333mm/13 inches. (The prototype of this vertiginous narrow-gauge Swiss mountain railway runs main-trains of two locos and 7 coaches up 1-in-14 gradients and around a few curves as tight as 45 metres.)
The pantograph works, and power can be switched between the two rails, or between the pantograph and one rail. DCC sockets are fitted to the most recent examples of the model, as is a five-pole motor. However, the traditional 3-pole of older models remains an excellent power source, being a substantial can motor of top quality.
Operation is virtually silent, while the flywheel ensures smooth acceleration and gentle transitions between rest and motion. The substantial cast metal chassis block and the fine nylon gear-trains to all the driving wheels provide smooth and positive grip on the rails, enabling this model to easily cope with scale-length trains even on equally-prototypical 1: 14 gradients and around over-sharp modeller's curves of 13 inches.
A most impressive model, all it needs is interior lighting, (Bemo produce a kit for that too), a driver and a few passengers. Highly recommended.

Fact-based story about a fascinating period of history, possibly even the beginnings of our path to the Brexit saga...
Fabulous period of history. Well written, full of action, intrigue and just enough history to add spice and basic understanding without that getting in the way of a rollicking good romp. 2nd in 'The Grail' triology, and I recommend starting with 'Harlequin', the first book.
Archers, Crecy, Knights on horseback, Middle Age morals and servitude; a fabulous mix of the real, the smell and taste of the period - and a cracking good story. Go for it!!!!

Food for the Brain!
Brazil nuts are a great source of Selenium; vital for humans' good health. Just 2 per day is enough and broken are cheaper than whole, so Gorilla simply provides the cheapest source of great quality Selenium I've yet found. Fabuloso !
