Fiskars axe & a lot of research
0 of 1 found this helpful Bought this because I had a huge fir tree to remove & the roots were dulling everything I was trying to cut them with. The axe went through them no problem & went onto to split several rounds of logs & still does not need sharpening. The balance & weight are excellent as your not lifting a solid shaft & the shape of the head splits & then divides usually in the first swing. Accuracy is greatly improved because your not exhausted by lifting a traditional maul over your head so you get it on the second swing anyway. Good tool & should last a long long while.
