A great starter album for creating Cray-iness!
2 of 2 found this helpful I thought this album was a great starter album to Robert Cray's music. I did read another reviewer saying it was watered down soul/blues stuff....which in honesty, is probably quite true to a degree. But for those that like that lesser blues intensity..this is the album for you.
Its definately not howlin wolf or BB King or Robert Johnston...but then again...if all albums sounded like that, the blues would appeal to a much smaller cross-section of people. It kinda reminds me of Eric Clapton's August abum (which a lot of people thought was a bit crap!). Sorta depends a lot on your mood....I liked it!

A great way to relax!
As a Cornet player in a Silver band for over 20 years....I appreciate a good CD of this genre. As with any GCB recording...it does not fail to deliver. Fantastically warm and mellow. Enough crunch in the 'ff' parts to make you smile. My problem is how to get the CD back off my dad!!
Well worth having in your collection if brass band hymns are your thing.
