This book is highly sought after by artists of any generation

This book is highly sought after by artists of any generation. My copy is new a fourth printing of the seventh edition originally published in 1941. A must have book for any serious student of the visual arts. Mr. Payne writes with the knowledge and insight of an very educated professional even though he left home at 14 to pursue his passion for art. This wonderful book has a special place in my Art bookcase rightly next to "Hawthorne on Painting."
