The multi faceted April
This is a really great modern pop CD and it holds up over time. The melodies are more more melodic and interesting than her "Punky" stuff and more traditional (in a Rock way) than her work with Bertrand Bugalat. The lyrics are provocative and interesting without being overbearing. And the same can be said for the arrangements and mix. I look forward to hearing more from this combination!

Nellie is amazing
I am amazed ang moved by Nellie McKay. I await her every release. I only wish the CD had more music on it. If you are new to Nellie McKay, get her first two albums first for sheer quantity. Fantastic!

The Life Of The Party!
This CD fulfills the promise of "Chromanance Decoder." In my opinion this is THE masterpiece for both April March and Bertrand Burgalat. The album holds together like a concept album with brilliant arrangements and crafty segues. The English lyrics are brilliant because they are not only witty, they also have emotioanl resonance that cuts close to the core. Since I do't understand French, I can only say that the French lyrics convey a wistful mood reminiscent of an old Truffaut movie. I think Coral Bracelet is one of the most incredible songs I've ever heard. I only hope that this collaboration will continue and yeild more fruit!
