Buy a genuine part instead!
I thought this would be the equivalent of the part I bought with the Hoover originally , however this didn't seem to work with my machine. I had to use the adapt or pipe to fit into my pet Miele - so maybe it works better on different machines where the pipe isn't required. Luckily was only £10 so I don't feel I'm completely out of pocket.
