THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ
Simply the best book Ive read, let alone on this subject.I have an avid interest in WW1 & particularly the Somme,& have read many books on the subject. The book & film "War Horse" has reignited interest in the use & roles of animals at war & in many ways its protected the reader or viewer from the true atrocities that occurred for these poor servants of man. "TOMMYS ARK" is a collection of memoirs from many participants of the so called "Great War" & often recount their feelings & observations with a brutal honesty,so where some records do not express too much detail,I guess to protect the reader & keep them reading, this book tells it like it was. I have cried with this book & laughed with this book!amongst the futility, brutality & senselessness of war,and the reports therein, theres still hope & love exprsessed on every page. If this is your interest, you will love this book,I have no doubt & if you didnt have an interest, you soon will! All thats left to say really is R.I.P to those who contributed their memoirs & in many cases their lives & the deepest sympathy & respect to the millions of animals from goose to goat, rabbit to horse who strived to survive in the worst conditions, terrorised by the insanity & violence all around,at the behest of Man,because of Man & for Man,we should feel ashamed.

Seriously great work of PINK FLOYD
An album that promises & delivers, all the anti-war,meloncholy,almost desperately sad at times, lyrics of Roger Waters and the(by then)almost broken Pink Floyd. As a commited ardent fan of The Wall, but not their earlier work,I wondered if that same black, layered schitzophrenic sound could ever be relived, well The Final Cut,is the next step on from The Wall, and takes a deeper homage to the brutalities of war and the devastation it leaves behind,in their usual honest clever way.Any fan of Pink Floyd,The Wall,or those who seek an astounding way of lamenting the horrors of war and politics will love this. A treasure of an album,I will never regret buying!

Great Series as it always was!
The final series of Follyfoot,a heartwarming, wander down childhood memory lane, and indeed what first fuelled my life long love of horses. This series is written more as a serial as opposed to the first two series, which while having a continuing story, had a seperate adventure in each episode, this third series is more ongoing between episodes. Buying this third series was quite hard as usually found in a complete Follyfoot boxset, but already having the first two,I wasnt keen to buy all three! I dearly love this programme, and would love to see a modern day version maybe,so long as it retained its homely, comforting & always moral feel! The relationship between Dora & Steve, like many a newer tale, keeps you wondering will they, wont they?but is also at times brutally honest & sad to watch, while the main story revolving around Follyfoot & its residents, maintain the classic & "rosy" glow of a homely safe place that horses can "have their day in the sun". Follyfoot,in my opinion,is THE ultimate "rainy day" dvd, pull up a blanket, grab a cuppa, and lose yourself in pony heaven! Enjoy!
