Good play value and cheap option
Based on the original Hornby model from the 1970s this uses an 060 steam locomotive chassis which is inaccurate. However with the Chinese motor and improved pickups it is a robust and simple model that is great for those on a budget or requiring something capable of withstanding play

Good entry level item
Robust and simple and easy to pick one up. If you’re starting out or on a budget these old triang models are ideal.

Value is excellent
A cheap way to model-colour light signals in your layout. The newer offerings of this kit come unpainted whereas it used to be pre painted but not a difficult job. They’re non functioning which is to be expected!
