He Shall Go To The Ball!
I've only ever known this film to be on T.V once, and it was when I was watching BBC2 back in the days when they played a movie at 6pm on a Friday night, a LONG time ago now, that I saw it,and I absolutely LOVED it! The cinderella story has been reworked so many times, that it was a refreshing and innovative change to see a man in the role of Cinderella, with two evil stepbrothers who were smarm personified. Jerry Lewis tackles the role with passion and vigour, reminiscent of Lee Evans, who would be excellent in this role should it ever be remade. Lewis, as the hapless,inept, put upon Fella ends up with a fairy godfather, and tries to win the heart of a Princess. It brought back some great memories for me and Lewis's performance is outstanding. The film may be around fifty two years old, but it's still very funny and fresh, and you can't help but feel sorry for Fella before his luck turns. This is proof that if a fairytale is ever reworked, to include a male in the lead role is a decision of absolute genius! An absolute classic and definitely worth a look, and the money. My one criticism, if it could be termed as such, would be that, at 84 minutes running time, it isn't long enough! But it's all about quality, not quantity, right? Right!

A Cultural Classic
I was first introduced to the Mad Jocks when I heard their No Lager parody, a send up of 2 Unlimited's no Limit song. My younger sister bought the EP ( Extended Play ), which had a number of fun party songs on it, including Auld lang syne and the hokey cokey, which I quite liked. This album, however, has the added bonus of some funny, if a little bit risque, jokes, in between tracks, but I have to admit I preferred the EP. It's just perfect for a Hogmanay bash, but best to be avoided outside of New Year as it's quite thematic in content. Otherwise, not bad for the money.

Purrfect!
This is the only cat food my girls will eat. Just to clarify, my cats are both female, if you get my meaning! I also give them the mixed Good As It Looks pouches, but the Ocean Feasts are their favourite, and they won't go near the ordinary Felix. The felix cat treats are also popular with them! It's clean bowls, glossy coats and happy faces all round, and if they're happy, then, so am I! Top Banana!
