Looks stunning but smells awful!
1 of 1 found this helpful Delivery was on time and pretty quick considering the current Covid situation. On arrival the boxes had a horrible fishy smell, I assumed it was just the cardboard, On unpacking the bed frame we realised it was the bed itself that smelled! we put the bed frame together, took a few hours but was pretty straightforward, we left the bed to air out the rest of the ya with the windows wide open. This did not help, after a week of use the bed still smells awful no matter how many times or what I clean the fabric with, I’ve tried everything! But can’t get rid of this revolting smell as of yet. Also the bed slats are practically useless, after the 1st night I noticed my mattress was sagging a lot, so we checked the base and all the slats where I had been laying had bowed the other way. Did not expect this to happen at all given the price for the bed, I would have thought the slats would be a lot stronger. Also it’s awfully noisy and creaks when u move. ( when u have a 4 month old that wakes to every little noise it is not ideal) We have tightened the metal frame up again but doesn’t seem to have made much of a difference.
Despite these issues, the disgusting smell being the worst one, the bed frame itself looks lovely and the colour is lovely too, and there is plenty of padding on the head and foot board. Just extremely disappointing to have all these other issues with it.
