The Mole People
1 of 1 found this helpful The Mole People is one of the few 50's horror films I had yet to see prior to purchasing it. It did not disappoint. Hugh Beaumont, John Agar and a head villain who looks like Don Imus how could you go wrong? I guess the producers felt the finished product needed punching up because there's a intro that I thought was part of the plot but instead it was like an infomercial on the possibilities of a subterranean world's existence. The narrator/pitchman was hilarious and the late Billy Oxyclean had nothing on his hand gesticulations. The movie itself was pure psychotronic (which I love) complete with the ending cementing the 50's b- genre's fascination with the latent homoeroticism of the male leads. All in all a masterpiece!

Corman tour de force
Roger Corman before he dropped the acid made the most compelling coherent b monster movies; his touch and sensibility permeate this offering; it haunted me as a kid and delights me as an adult .

Inspiring
This is an amazing book . It helped me recover nineteen years ago and I keep purchasing it to give it forward ; the same way it was given to me .
