I sought this to use at work. As I’m a motorcycle instructor I need to be in communication with the pupil I’m teaching and this gives me the freedom to get off the bike with out disconnecting wires and untangling myself. I have used other comms systems and all my pupils have said that it’s much clearer than the radio systems. I plug a D shape ear piece into the earpiece socket and put the unit in their pocket no need to carry a radio belt or bag much less hassle, I don’t connect the mic so it works for me really well, it has a range of upto 1200m however if I’m that far from a pupil them something has gone terribly wrong I’m usually no more than a couple of hundred meters from my pupils, I have three units and can talk to 2 pupils at the same time. It takes a bit of getting used to as I no longer have to shout into the mic. Take some time to figure out how to connect them together as the sheet provided isn’t the best trial and error is what worked for me. A really great piece of kit and maybe one day I’ll even use while out and about or to speak to my wife when she’s on the bike as well ( if I can stand the high pitched whine from the back of the bike that is)

Garmin zumo 595 LM
The zumo 595 is easy to use although I haven’t used it for more than a couple of trip. The curved roads feature and hilly feature was interesting up around north wales, I’m hoping that will come into its own later Thai year when I use it around the south of France and the alps
