Norton's Star Atlas and Reference Handbook By Arthur P. Norton, .9780582988989
    06 Jan, 2017
    Every astronomer should own one
Excellent beginners' handbook and also useful for dipping into by seasoned astronomers. Bargain prices on ebay. Although dated, much of the info is, and will remain, valid. The book would be more correctly entitled a Reference Handbook plus Atlas as the latter appears right at the end of the book. Use this with a planisphere to give yourself a good grounding into visual astronomy. Highly recommended.

    Good stuff
On the face of it this is an excellent product although cannot vouch for durability since I've just applied it to two sheds. Very nice to apply and looks good after the second coat especially on planed timber. Appears to shed rain well and is lovely to use as it's water based. One concern I do have is that, having purchased two 2.5l cans, the first had a superb fairly thick constituency but the second was considerably thinner - nothing like as substantial as the first can. Brushed on OK but I don't know which was representative. I'm hoping the first can is since that was superb - will find out when I order my next can (incidentally it seems to go a long way painted two decent size sheds with two coats and still just broke in to the second can - and I spilt about a quarter of the first like an idiot!)
